Boxer was a longhaired dove banded male Syrian and Dino was a longhaired sable banded male Syrian hamster. They were born in 1986 and died in 1988. They were bought from a petshop.

Boxer and Dino were named after types of Ferrari cars. This is because Iain and Lynne had a cat called Furrari at the time, and Iain liked the cars, so they named them after Ferraris.

Both Boxer and Dino like to run on their wheels. They also enjoyed nibbling on lettuce leaves. Because they were males, their fur grew exceptionally long, and the pair were permanently in need of a trim!
