Hercules was a sable longhaired male Syrian hamster. He came from a petshop in Cooper, near St Andrews. He was born in 1980 and died in 1981.
Hercules was called Hercules because, at the time, Lynne and Iain were into mythalogical characters, so decided to name him after one of them. His full name was Hercules Bogden Liontummy Houndhamster!!!
Hercules liked to eat 'hamster scones', and also to run and sniff Fluff's cage. He and Fluff also had a wedding! Lynne and Iain invited round all their university friends to the ceremony!!! However, though mated with her, Fluff didn't have any babies.
