Hippy
Hippy was a cinnamon longhaired male Syrian hamster (Possibly a dominant spot ~ we are not sure). He was born in 1978 and was given to Iain by Lynne. He was his first hamster. He died in 1979.

Hippy's name came from his long fur, which made him look like a hippy! He was kept secretly as a pet when Lynne and Iain were at university.

Hippy liked to eat carrot and to chew his bars. Unfortunately, when Iain was home during the holidays, Hippy managed to escape and went under the floorboards. Though he was rescued by Iain, he had inhaled a lot of coal dust and sadly died a few days later.
